Swirly whirly weather, dark skies and a receding tide - perfect for seeing what one of the town swimming places looks like. Very welcoming indeed. Followed by an evening at the National Gallery of Ireland, acquainting myself with the Dublin Vermeer, who is writing, as I am writing now.
