COVID-19 Lock-Down Continues

“First of May! First of May, Outdoor ****ing starts today”. Rumpole of the Bailey, a fictional lawyer, a character in every sense of the word, created by John Mortimer, spoke this in a cheerful fictional reminiscence of his Oxford University years. I wish the four letter word were 'swim'. Swimming continues by stealth, fleeting sightings of swimming friends, joyous waving of arms - 'what news, what news?' Of people who once so visible, now hidden, self-isolating, disappeared. We will get through this. The music of Magdalen College Choir, on the First of May, helps, comforts. My first lock down swim of May will be at Magdalen Bridge, Oxford.
